We have put together what we believe is a very interesting programme for you on 27th October.

A strong line-up of experts will tell you what is happening in geographical analysis, digital mapping and ‘neogeography’; not only fascinating stuff, but also job-useful.

Jonathan Reynolds will set the scene from his OXIRM vantage point. Andy Hudson Smith will show us what’s new. Prof. Dave Martin will explain the thinking behind the geography for the next Census.

Mark Bishop of Pitney Bowes MapInfo will show us how new developments in Web 2.0 are relevant to what we do at work. Rich Harris from CMPO, University of Bristol will explain how spatial econometrics can enhance geodemographics; and Prof. Martin Clarke, University of Leeds will demonstrate how forward simulation of demographics could forecast catchment areas 25 years ahead.
