The Power of Information

Martin will be presenting a short talk on the 'Power of Information' which will hopefully be followed by some inspired debate and discussion. The evening will then continue onboard the ship in the upstairs bar with drinks until late.

About the speaker

Martin Callingham
Visiting Professor of GIS, Birkbeck College, London University

Martin has recently retired from running the market research department of Whitbread Plc. The work of the department covered the market research for the various businesses of the company, the group customer database and the spatial analysis unit. Martin is a visiting professor in the School of Geography at Birkbeck College where he is developing interests in the creation of novel geodemographic systems for local authorities, and the analysis of flow data.
