Speaker Biographies

Hetal Mehta, Economist, Oxford Economics.

Hetal Mehta is an economist at Oxford Economics and is part of the international macroeconomic forecasting team. She is responsible for monitoring and forecasting a number of countries, writes weekly briefs for the UK economy and works on a variety of consultancy projects. Previously, Hetal worked for HM Treasury where she was a member of the World Forecast Branch. A significant part of her work comprised assisting in briefing for the Chancellor and senior Treasury officials. Hetal read Economics at the University of Bath, where she gained an upper second class degree with honours and subsequently obtained an MSc in Economics.
