UK Location User Needs Workshop facilitated by the Association for Geographic Information (AGI) and the Demographic User Group (DUG)
Growing Location-based Applications in Retail, Financial Services and Transport sectors: How can the UK Location Programme help?
POLITE NOTE: This particular event is aimed at end-users of Location-based Applications/GIS in the above sectors. It is not intended for delegates from solutions providers or users from other industry sectors.
Objectives
The objectives of the workshop are:
- To increase awareness of what is being provided under the UK Location Programme and discuss how the use of these facilities across the sectors can be maximised.
- To consider what the sectors need from Government in the future to optimise economic growth.
The programme has been structured to reflect these objectives with the morning session focusing on the “here and now” and the afternoon looking at future needs.

- 14:10 Breakout Sessions: What does the “location community” really need from Government? Facilitated sessions using the manifestos as a starting point for discussion.
